We pick you up at your hotel and start the tour with an insight into traditional Vietnamese food. The first food we have is one of Hanoi specialties called Bun Cha (Grilled pork with rice noodle) that President Obama tried in Hanoi. A trip to Hanoi city would not be complete without this food. I make sure this food will create the good beginning of this tour.

Leave the first place to keep going to the second food stall that specializes in making one of very typical Vietnamese food that we eat almost everyday. Why can we eat this food very often? Check it out! It is called “Banh Cuon” (Steam rice roll or Vietnamese pancakes). With practiced hands, It is a paper-thin steamed rice flour pancake, like delicate sheets of fresh rice noodles. Among Vietnam’s delicate specialties, “Banh Cuon” ranks top thanks to its softness, sweet fragrance of cinnamon, dried onion and strong taste of minced meat and sources! Surely, when you leave the restaurant, You’ll be impressed.

Keep heading to the Sword lake (Hoan Kiem lake) to listen to a legend story referring to this lake and then nearby there, we try one of popular snacks that Hanoi locals often eat on sidewalk with plastic stools. Here we get to observe Hanoi Street food culture.

The next food that we should not miss are beef noodle, we can either choose beef noodle soup or mix noodle with beef. We will come to the most famous restaurants in Hanoi for these food.

The next stop to visit is the largest market in Hanoi – Dong Xuan market. They there sell everything from fried stuff to electronic goods. Especially, They sell famous exported fabric with quality material-Van Phuc silk or you can buy something as a souvenir.

Before tasting Spring rolls which is assumed can not miss in every Vietnamese households on holidays. We pass the Quan Chuong gate -an architectural work and a cultural, historical and geographical vestige of Hanoi. This gate has been one of the twenty-one city gates of Hanoi since 1749.

Nearby this site, we move to the 87 Ma May traditional house preserved the typical architecture of the Old Quarter by authority. We go into to observe former objects.

Leaving a “tube house”, We try the dessert, egg coffee or street coffee following the way locals do.

Well, after the 3-hour Hanoi street walking tour,  It’s pleasant to relax and we continue to experience on a three-wheel bicycle taxi.

After checking out the coffee shop, cyclo riders pick us up and then we get on a rickshaw to explore French part to find out differences between these two parts. We will ride pass the Hilton prison and stop in front of this museum and listen to a brief history of the prison and explore French buildings, parks, boulevard streets meanwhile taking advantage of nice photos opportunity.
On a cyclo, the feeling of passing through some small but bustling streets, it is like a slow motion movie taking you back to Hanoi of old. After finishing an hour cyclo tour, we drop off at your hotel to end the Hanoi food tour.
